Three from Pollard in May

Alright, in typical fashion, Robert Pollard has three new releases on the docket for May 2006.

First up is the Keene Brothers’ Blues and Boogie Shoes, a collaboration with Tommy Keene.

Next is Psycho & the Birds’ All That Is Holy, a collaboration with Todd Tobias who worked on From A Compound Eye and is the second member of the Circus Devils.

Third is the Takeovers’ Turn to Red, his collaboration with Chris Slusarenko, the final bassist from GBV.

One song from each album is available for free download at www.robertpollard.net and release is available for pre-order from Luna Music. For my money, the Keene Brothers sounds great, then the Takeovers and finally, Psycho & the Birds.

Regarding my iPod, I’ve been listening to Johnny Cash all day, Here is what the Man In Black has had to say:

1. “Big River”
2. “Wreck of the Old 97”
3. “I Don’t Know Where I’m Bound”
4. “Starkville City Jail”
5. “The One Rose”
6. “Solitary Man”
7. “One”
8. “Dark As A Dungeon”
9. “Ring of Fire”
10. “Long Black Veil”
